Shot over four months in Austin Texas, I photographed the everyday lives of teenagers for the National Geographic Magazine cover story “Teenage Brains – Moody. Impulsive. Maddening. Why do teenagers act the way they do? Viewed through the eyes of evolution, their most exasperating traits may be the key to success as adults.”
Maneuvering through their home-life, school-life, party-life, the highs and lows, the drinking, the excesses, the fitting-in, the following of the rules and the breaking of them, my time documenting adolescents in Austin Texas was up close and in vivid colors.
