”Di roccia, fuochi e avventure sotterranee” book release
Marina Caneve’s book on the metro line that is to connect Athens airport to the port of Piraeus weaves a complex forest of themes, linked to the relationship between the city, contemporary design and historical memory.
Views of the city and the construction site alternate with archaeological finds, cores and elements of excavation machinery.
“Di roccia, fuochi e avventure sotterranee” is a six-volume box set. Six photographic essays – the first five volumes document construction sites in Athens, Oslo, Hanoi, Sydney and Brenner, each by a different photographer. The sixth book brings together a selection of photographs from Ghella’s historical archives.
Published with Quodlibet.
